Last night, with my mom, I got to go and meet a friend of mine for the first time. I've known Ethan for a little over a year now, and I've been writing a book with him for 10 months now! But, I've only known him online, I've never met him in real life. (I know him on Facebook and on www.elyonscircle.com, which is a forum for people who like the author Ted Dekker.)
So when his band - from Colorado - took a band trip to Dallas, I got to meet him! It was awesome!
The title of my blog post comes from the fact that my mom (for whatever reason) thinks that his name, Ethan Cain, sounds like a character on a soap opera. :-) So I tease him about that.
And the whole way driving to meet him, my mom kept teasing about "You're gonna just think you can drive anywhere and meet anybody online! I'm teaching you bad life lessons! What if he's like a stalker and he follows us home, then what! If that happens, no more internet for you!"

Two of Ethan's friends from Colorado: Kara and Michelle (I think I got those names right!)
Here's Ethan. Missing his hat...
...because I stole it! Mwahaha!

He got his hat and glasses back.

This is me mimicking the above picture.

And Ethan and me together. :-) Proof that we were both there, and actually met!! YAY!!

So how far is the book along? Soon to be at Barnes & Noble?
Oh, I finished the book by the next day. :-) I'm a really, really quick reader.
I thought you and the "stalker" guy were writing a book together, my reading and brain wires got confused, oops.
Whoops! You were right, we are writing a book. :D It's maybe halfway done.
